I don't understand people!

We own a very nice house - for 28 years, in Hamlin, NY.

This past summer, after fixing many needed items; finishing minor remodeling jobs and replacing a carpet in the family room; we rented our home to strangers that lied about everything! and got into our house!

The only thing correct was "her" employment - THANK YOU! as we now have a judgment against her wages...yes this could amount to nothing; but it is the justification that we have a judgment against them for $4387.00!!

What I don't understand is how these people could lie in front of their kids;

destroy the house

live like pigs

- all in the presents of their kids!!

We are non-smokers.....I can't stand the smell of
tobacco and I made sure that it was listed in
the lease that there was to be no smoking in the house - if a "he" wants to smoke and

freeze "his" ass off just to get a smoke - go for it outside in the sub zero temperatures!

but not in my house!!

But not this "ass" - he decided we would never know! WRONG!! yellow ceilings give it away!!

CAN YOU SAY JUDGMENT :)

I need to start bloggong again!

I enjoy reading blogs...I get so carried away with what others are writing, I can't think what to write myself! So here I go :)

The beginning of summer as I know it as a teacher - July, my dear husband and I moved the last remaining personal or non-personal belongs of ours out of the house we lived in for twenty-five years. This move of course meant driving a truck across country. And while we are at it, we picked up the youngest, son A's belongings to move to Seattle.

So if you can, imagine the letter "Z" across the USA...that is what we did. Starting in upstate New York (where the house is), we went to crash at Wenderina's house - like we always do. Drove to Brooklyn to pick up son A's things, then headed south to VA. Never miss time with LMA and his parents. That is the highlight of any trip to the east coast (Sorry W and Mom).

After visiting, playing, helping with deck and painting kitchen, with tears of sadness - I miss LMA before I left the driveway.....we then headed to Seattle!

We spent a week in South Dakota and another week in Montana! or at least that is what it seemed like! Going from east to west across these two states was unbelievable - mind-numbing, horizontal and unexciting. Can you say, "get me out of this F_ _ _ en truck!"

As we read billboard sign, we found a few little places to stop at - to get out of the truck, shake the stink off and get the blood flowing again.
