Real Firefighters are Heroes!

I am use to having snow days off from school in NY; tomorrow I have a fire day or air quality day...until further notice schools have been closed here in SD. Although the fires are not near us, they are still all around. My brother is packed, but isn't told to evacuate yet....my sister-n-law's family, are living at the Hyatt and may have lost everything...

Dumbledore is gay....how could this be?!?!?!!? she just destroyed my love of these stories! not really! but who cares what Dumbledore does whith his love life....besides, isn't he dead as of the 5th or 6th book??

My Biggest Joy!

On December 14, 2007, my daughter, son-in-law, husband and myself got up at the crack of dawn to go experience the joy of birth. This is not my daughters joy; it actually is terrifying to her. But by dinner time I am blessed with the most beautiful human being in the world..my first grandchild..a grandson..Ansen Robert, weighing in at 9 lb 4 oz and 21 " long. He is my life. Grandmotherhood is fantastic. And to think I wasn't going to be one!
Yes, I was overjoyed when each of my children were born, however this is different. There is this feeling of utter amazement; he can never do no wrong; he rolls over; crawls; stands up and I cry! as I watch the video that my wonderful daughter achieves his every smile, discovery, growth and movement for me so that I don't miss it.
Yes, I cry because I am not there to see it for the first time, but more because he did it. I know that he has the best parents in the world! It's just really hard not living in the same house with all of them or even in the same town or state. I know one thing to be true..if my daughter and husband ever decide to produce another grandchild for me...I am moving in!
